i dont think the 2 in front is any better or worse than the 2 in back in terms of trikes its just a completly different way of riding...
when you ride a motorcycle you are working with 2 wheels and have a lean on corners...
when you have a 2 in front trike like the spyders, you still have that lean when turning corners...its a much more "natrual" stearing for those that are used to a normal motorcycle or scooter...
a 2 in back trike however requires you to stear it wiht your arms insted of with the "lean" its more like riding a horse, you have to pull on those reighns to get it to go in the direction you want it too...
much easier for people with balance issues (like myself) and people not used to riding a motorcycle/scooter of any kind.
so it definatly is more of a "preference' and "experience" kind of thing, most motorcyclists prefer the 2 infront if they are switching to a trike...yet most whove never ridden before (or always been a passenger) prefer the traditional trike.
i dont ride my scooter much anymore because tight corners make me very nervous, my balance is a big issue since my head injury and im always worried im going to come off (and comming off ANY bike is not fun, no matter how little it is...)
i will say though...the draw to me is 2 fold..1 the feeling...and 2 the milage. my little 49cc doesnt look like much, but shes fun to ride she gets up to 45mph easily (55 with a lighter person on it lol) even my dad who ides a honda goldwing LOVES riding the 49cc just ebcause shes Alot of fun to ride...and the best part...90+ MPG lol.
the piggios are BEAUTIFUL scoots, (so are the honda scoots) but youll pay for the privledge of riding one lol! there not cheap...
my 49cc (e-ton beemer) was $2000 brand new! lol
if i could put a mini trike kit on my 49cc scoot, id be more than happy...and they do make kits for tiny "bikes" but still it would look a lil silly! lol.
i told my dad, i need trinaing wheels for my trike...
i CAN ride her, i just have an issue taking corners since i hurt myself

if i had the money id get a little honda reble with a mini trike kit on it...
my dream though...the indian "vintage" with a custom trike kit...*drools*
