Awwww!! Is that an EE I see in there? and a Jersey Giant? What breeds did you bring home?

Awwwww........ I WANT CHICKS.

My local feed store stocked up at 8am and by noon all chicks were sold.

Good thing I have 28 in the incubator!

That one on the top sure does look like a Jersey Giant. I had one and she was my fav...and of course, she died.

Don't know what the rest are though.

I have 13 1 and 2 week olds in the brooder and several more in the hatcher.....they smell funny and are therefore no longer cute. I LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone else's chicks though, I ADORE the ones I don't have to feed and take care of...

They are all bantams. What kind? I don't know. Guesses over at BYC are Cochin, OEGB, and possibly EE bantam. I suppose we'll have to wait and see. The one in the middle is my favorite so far, he's so pretty, almost silver, and spunky too!

I've got 38 year-old hens and nearly 3 dozen eggs in the incubator due to start hatching Monday, why I thought I needed more I don't know. It's a disease I tell you, a disease!

Wow!!! 38 years old is a very good age for old hens. I don't think I ever heard of hens that old!!!! :bun
