January Jump-Start (Garden Dream and Plan Thread)

Yeah baby peppers. This year only raising green and red bells for freezing and jalapeno so my wife can, can salsa and cowboy candy. I got plenty of dried hot peppers to last 2 more years atleast.

They look good. I picked up some more pepper seeds yesterday and will try to get them tucked in their starter pots this week.

They take so doggone long to germinate even with supplemental heat - I try and sow tomatoes and peppers at the same time even though peppers can be set out sooner than tomatoes you still have to figure in germination time.

I'm not sure how peppers will do here, but I'm keen to try some anyway. I eat quite a lot of them, so it makes sense to grow my own.

Baby Tomatoes are really taking off. About time to thin out the herd to two per cell. I usally plant two per hole in the garden then thin to one per hole. Sometimes I may have both that don't survive the transplant shock so I'll use the extra to fill in gaps then give away what's left over to friends.
