Last year when we were breeding the short nigy to my mini-nubians, someone on here suggested we put him on top of a bale of hay! :gig Then scoot her behind up to him! :sick

I was so glad they managed on their own.

To the tune of the Eagles New Kid in town, sung by Java's chickens to serenade her when she reaches the coop:

There's talk on the forum; it sounds so familiar
Great expectations, everybody's wanting goats
People you meet, like maybe Freemotion
promote them like crazy, just like they're something new

The Dude's come to Java's, the new kid in town
Everybody loves you, so don't let them down

He looks in their eyes; the music begins to play
Tryin' to remind them that its just his job
But after awhile, they're lookin' the other way
That is his chance to jump atop

The Dude's come to Java's, the new kid in town
Will she still love you when you start to stink?
The does will enjoy your lovely yellow showers.
But as for the family, better get snuggles while the snugglin's good

There's a smell in Ohio, startin near Dublin
Just there to remind you, there be goats in the neighborhood
It doesn't really matter which side you're on.
You're walking away and the buck smell is follow' you
It will never come off you 'til somebody new comes along

Where you been lately? There's a new kid in town
Everybody loves Dude, don't they?
Now he's smelling bad, yet hes still around
Oh, my, my
There's a new kid in town
just another new kid in town
Pee yew!
Everybody's talking 'bout the new kid in town,
Pee Yew!
Everybody's walking like the new kid in town,
Pee Yew!
There's a new kid in town
I don't want to smell it
There's a new kid in town
I don't want to smell it
There's a new kid in town
There's a new kid in town
There's a new kid in town
Everybody's talking
There's a new kid in town
People started sniffin'
There's a new kid in town

...just saw a man driving a fancy lawnmower down our road at full speed...not something I see every day :hu

Must be the full moon.

Today I'm making potato soup and bread. The kids got adjustments to their braces yesterday and do not feel like chewing. Plus it's about to get cold and rainy here so it's officially soup and comfort food weather.

Here in my county, it is very common to see people driving tractors on the road.

Cold weather? Comfort food?

I didn't get enough summer! :hit We just had one long spring and then a month of super-hot (too hot).

I know I'm an oddball, but I love, love, love cool weather. :weee As long as it is dry-cool. But we haven't had much luck with that for a couple years.

Well the hot weather makes you ill, doesn't it?

I wouldn't like it either then.

I don't feel so great with any extreme change in weather. I never used to be like that, but I read the side effects of my medication the other day and one of them was actually "difficulty with temperature changes and inability to warm the hands and feet."

I read that aloud to hubby, who thought I was a FREAK last year, complaining about the temperature all the time. He is always hot, no matter the weather. He will actually wear thongs and shorts in the SNOW, meanwhile I have snow boots and snow pants on for the same weather conditions. My kids all seemed to inherit his metabolism so they all look at me like, "Why is she dressed like that?"
