Java. the end.

Do you know if you need to supplement selenium in your area? Our soil is deficient here so Ohio folks need it. I'm not using prescription BoSe. I got some selenium gel from the feed store to have on hand, but I'm using an herbal copper/selenium from FirMeadow. com. I give them the herbal all year round as needed - the instructions recommend about 2 tsp. weekly, more if needed - like now during the final month. I got the gel just in case I need something stronger. It was around 7 bucks for a big tube.
According to the people I bought my goats from, yes.
According to my former employer, no.
According to selenium maps online, we are deficient. Everyone around here pays more for "Eastern" hay because it is grown in the part of the state that is dry and higher in selenium.

I have chosen goat minerals that contain selenium and I see it listed on their goat chow. I'll have to look into that gel......I'd rather ask a vet for Bose some time when I need an appointment and not pay for an appointment just to buy Bose! I didn't realize there was another way to give it straight, thanks.

hey baby are you up!? did you sleep at all?

*hand cuppa and a plate of bacon. takes several cookies from java *

Ooo, bacon and coffee :hugs Thank you very much! I have banana pancakes too, yum.

I slept but needed valerian to knock me out. No hangover today :weee

It's cold. Booo.

Didya see Karen's goat kidded last night? So cute! Congrats Karen!

yes!!! they are adorable!

:-)

pancakes? can you make mine without the bananas?

You don't like bananas? I could probably whip up something with cinnamon.
I smell sausage too. Hubby is smoking up the house. We have terrible ventilation over the stove and that man can't cook without making smoke.

I have TWO half sled dogs that simply drool over bananas! I am amazed that OFG wouldn't like a banana pancake.

i know. there are few things i wont eat and bananas are one of them. well, i'll take that back.

i'll eat bananas but only within a '12 hour ripe window' than forget it. and not cut up. only whole, only at the proper ripeness. and only if i'm in the right mood.

my hubby knows there is something really wrong with me (or i've eaten fast food) when i declare i want a (thats "a", one, single, no more only one) banana.

i'll eat liver by the shovel load but not bananas. yep i know. its a mystery.

 I'm picky about bananas too. Rarely eat one as a snack. Have to of the exact ripeness that I like. Not green, but not soft either They still make me gag sometimes. It's a texture thing. But I love banana flavored cake-like foods :P

Y'all are making me hungry. I don't have any bacon, eggs, bread, or a bunch of other stuff and I'm trying to figure out what to eat. :hit I just might have to get some bananas when I go out, and make some chocolate chip banana bread. Then, I won't feel so left out.

No bananas here. Apparently they are too close to latex. No joke. My doctor (back when I had my hysterectomy) said "how allergic are you to latex?" and I said "I don't know the scale" and she said "Can you eat bananas?" and I said "I cannot stand bananas. They're all thick and hard to swallow and make my mouth numb". And she, being much more clever than me about bodies, realized that my mouth would swell shut with them LOL.

Allergies 1. Abi 0.

I'm having milk and a fat bomb and I am now outta food. I have TONS of leftovers but nothing I WANT to eat. Not after I posted the nom enchiladas elsewhere. *rolls eyes* So I guess I'll be making enchilada salad tonight.
