Java. the end.

Awwwwwwww!!! I'm not one for Lamancha's - haven't seen one in person so I can't yet get past the earless point :hide

But those babies are dang cute! Congratulations - seriously! It's always nice when everything goes how it should be.

Tanks - I do vaccinate my goats so about 4 weeks prior to kidding (give or take a week) I give the doe a CD&T shot. Once she kids I deworm her 3 days after kidding, then again in 10 days. I've never had huge issues with worms to begin with, but after kidding they're more suceptible to parasites.

I give the kids their first CD&T vaccination around 3 weeks of age and then again at 6 weeks of age. At 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks I also give them their coccidia treatment, which is DiMethox 12.5%, once a day for 5 days.

After all that - they only get wormed as necessary and have their CD&T shot once a year.

I guess vaccines are like just about everything else. Some do some don't. I was just not sure how soon after they were born things needed to be done.

It's all a bit overwhelming for me.

It was overwhelming to me at first too. And then I realized I could take it day by day, week by week. And it all fell into place.

Well congrats on some beautiful little babies there! Wow, they are just beautiful!

And you are quite a looker too! I don't think I have ever seen a pic of you :thumbsup

Aw shucks

OK, more pictures because I can't help it.

This is Silver. I'm keeping her.

I have little sweaters to put on the kids I have - they came with hoods, though so I have to stitch the hood to the back of the sweater so it doesn't accidentally cover their faces/heads. I love goat kids in coats!
