I'm doing somthing right in the way of tomatoes and peppers!

Here's a picture of what I have harvested from my backyard in the last week.

You rock. :D

I have some peppers that look like that. What do you do with them? They were free to me and I didn't know exactly what kind they were.

They are banana peppers. They are great eaten raw (very sweet peppers) or grilled. I've cooked them with ground beef, onions, broccoli, and stew beef and served over rice. They are easy to grow. Thanks for the compliment!

Be careful before you take a big bite if you don't know what they are... I have Hungarian Hot Wax Yellow Peppers and they look similar too, they aren't a sweet pepper, and do have a really nice kick to them... we love spicy food, so I grill them stuffed with cheese and herbs, but some people find them too hot to eat straight up.

Take a test nibble before you eat a whole one :)

Urban dreamer... the tomatoes and peppers look fantastic! I only got mine moved outside a few weeks ago, so I'm impatiently waiting for them to grow now... I hope mine look as nice as yours do!

The peppers have already been eaten! I'm trying to decide what I want to do with the tomatoes. Mabey a nice salad? That is one of the two and a half cartons of eggs I have from my four chickens! I need to eats some eggs  . Mabey I'll make a short cake with eggs and try goat's milk instead of cow milk. I still have a little left over that I didn't drink yesterday.
