keljonma's Front Porch - Settling in and adjusting

KJM...thanks for the explanation...when ever someone is having tummy/digestion/weight issues I am always curious. Your DD sounds like mine :) She went to the Dr. last week for an ankle injury and when she got weighed, she said "wow Look, I gained 2 pounds!" funny part is that she was genuinely excited :weee

She is all of 5'5" and a whopping 94 lbs. This child is NEVER going to start her period and her older sister teases her that if she never starts she will never be able to have kids :smack Siblings... gotta love 'em!

:) Hope you are having a pleasant day, the concern and giving of yourselves to others is so refreshing to see.
I love your sweater, it is the coziest looking thing I've seen in a long time, makes you wanna snuggle into it!
Take care, Tina

Brrrr....too cold for much for you. If we had 13 inches of snow, we would be shut down for days and days.

Thanksgiving seems to roll around so quickly, doesn't it? Then, after Christmas, it seems like it takes forever for April to get here.

Sounds like it took a good 1/2 hour to get ready to go outside.
We did have a blizzard here like that once, I think it was in 1993. At the time my DS was 2-3, power was out so not heat. We had no choice but to make a treacherous drive (ya know, Southerners in snow) to my parent's house. Normally a 15 minute drive but in 13" of snow, took over an hour. Lived like royalty - cooked & heated with a wood stove, used the patio table for a fridge. Took about a week to get the power back on. Looking back on it, it was fun. But not so much as to want to do it again. ;)
