The landlords called yesterday to say someone (the township or village, they somehow don't know who they called) is coming to look at the 3 foot deep sink hole in the drive. They said the workers would be at our place by 6:30 am!!! :lau I will believe it when I see it....
Well, not quite 6:30am...but the backhoe did arrive at 6:45am! My mailbox is leaning against the large old maple in the front yard now.
This pic taken from the upstairs hall window.

This pic from the yard. The workers had to go get new drain pipe

While I was out there, I got this pic of some of the mulberries coming in

Thanks, moolie and Farmfresh! I am glad TR got the camera working in time for our day trip, but I did not take enough photos.
Sometimes it is better to just LIVE and enjoy the moment than to be constantly taking pictures. :)

Wonderful photos from Sunday - makes me miss Ohio in the summer (definitely don't miss the winters!). Hubby and I lived in Ohio for 3 1/2 years and spent many Saturdays just driving around enjoying the scenery and historic sites. I regret not having a garden while we lived there - we had an acre and a huge pole barn. I could have done so much with that property!

Glad your sinkhole is being repaired. What an inconvenient location.

They just left and the driveway is fixed. :weee

Still dehydrating carrots and got a bunch of small projects completed.

Paul came and inspected the chimney on the main roof and looked at it from the basement and attic. He can't find where it is leaking and thinks the problem may be water coming in the chimney itself, as it is not capped. He is going to discuss with landlords and see how they want him to proceed. :/

Yay new (navigable) driveway! Hope they figure out your leak soon.

68 this morning. Beautiful blue, green, yellow, red and orange on the radar coming this way from Ontario province. Thunder and lightening, which were barely discernable a few minutes ago when I dropped TR off at work now are much louder with deep rumbling.

Weatherbug is chirpping at me that the NWS has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for NE OH, NW PA and W NY. Be careful out there.
