I can't believe how excited I got when I saw the improvements in your plants...who would'ha thunk it possible?
 
That odd washed out color in the tomato leaves is low Magnesium. I am glad the sprinkle and tinkle is working, now throw a fist full of Epsom Salts around the tomatoes as well.
 
Haha, no kidding! Considering I'm not using water for a flush, I'm actually saving money while making the plants greener. I'm trying the new fertilizer out on the raspberries now, since they are looking okay but not fabulous. Anyone here have raspberries? Any thoughts on the best way to trellis them?

My friend recently told me about using Epsom Salts in the garden. My first thought was that I didn't want salt in the soil, but it's not really salt! Apparently citrus and avocado love it too. The tomato leaves are now nicely green (is there magnesium in urine?), but I will sprinkle some Epsom Salts out there anyway, since my soil is probably lacking in it. Thanks!

When I was a young lad, my friend's grandma used a chamber pot that got emptied around her raspberries every morning. Those berries were as big as your thumb when they were ripe. :)

I do the epsom salt treatment on my peppers every couple of weeks as we're getting regular showers lately. 2 TBL per gallon of water.
 
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought you were supposed to cut the raspberry canes back -keep them more shrub like rather than letting them go long enough to trellis.
 
I always pruned last years growth off near the ground in the fall and then clipped the new canes back to about waist high in the early spring. That is supposed to encourage the canes to branch and produces more berries. ;)
