Yeah, when I heard it was so good for you I was suddenly glad I had so much of it. Now I need to let some of the plants grow bigger because I pulled all the big ones a few weeks ago. :/

I've been ripping that stuff out for years. Now that I want to try it, I can't find any.

Many times when I'm out creek fishing I'll take a pinch of some plant to see if it tastes good. It never does. Luckily I have never had any kind of adverse reaction.

I had traditional allergy testing. My disease is flared up by allergies. That plant was number three on my list of "weeds" I should try to avoid being AROUND.

Wow, those recipes sound good, Wifezilla! I bet sunflower seeds (nuts, whatever you call them) would be good in pesto instead of the pecans, too.

My husband is half French, and although he remembers his mother doing the dandelion thing, he's worried that I might slip something strange in his food...like weeds.

Since I put nettles in the soup, my oldest son keeps looking at the food before he dishes up now and asks, "What did you put in THIS?" He tries to keep his voice polite but I know he is wondering what garden plants he is eating today.

Yep--when small they are very tender and mild. I actually enjoy them (unlike dandelions, which I cannot find a way to enjoy)

Question. Some of my lamb's quarters have purple spots on the leaves and other's don't. What's the difference between the two?

Ive been ripping that stuff up too. I have to go outside now and see if I can find any. Probably won't try any though since I am a scardy cat and afraid of getting the wrong thing. I just tried daylily root yesterday and I have known for years that it was edible.

That's a good question. I was in the garden today and noticed a purplish plant as well.
