Laugh(s) for the day

Oh, Sumi, that's funny but sweet too. I bet they sit like that on the couch at home too. :)

Bee, that egg fight one reminds me of a tomato fight my brother and I were having one time when we were kids. We were picking masses of tomatoes (many rows.) Good ones in the bucket, bad ones in the field for the heifers. It must have really rained because there were several rotted ones, and my dad always kept it very neat and picked. So my dad was in one row with his back turned. My brother and I each had a row. We were picking, but having fun too, until one rotten tomato went sailing right over dad's head. :epAnd the rotten tomato fight was over just like that!"

This is my boys, almost exactly, except you can substitute guns and bows for Minecraft and it's perfect.

I have a relative that we’re close to (personally, not in terms of geographic proximity). She’s living hundreds of miles away in the city, Vancouver area to be exact. After living in a nice apartment in a quiet suburb neighborhood for at least 10 years, she’s having to move. The apartment she had was in a triplex, and the owners of the building needed to accommodate one of their elderly relatives in the apartment.

I thought ‘I’ll go online and search around for some appropriate cartoon humor about moving day and all that surrounds a switch of abode’… but, unlike with most dull or unpleasant situations, there’s very, very little to be found on the topic. I’m not saying there was nothing, but it does seem like very few cartoonists can find any humor in the situation!

On the bright side, my relative’s move is to another pleasant neighborhood. But moving a lot of furniture and other household & personal stuff in a limited span of time is no picnic — it’s onerous, annoying, frustrating, and however you want to say it. I thought the scarcity of cartoons was surprising.
