Looking for good source for 2 qt. jars

If this has been asked, sorry. I did a search and couldn't find anything on it.

I need a bunch of 2 qt. (1/2 gln.) glass Mason canning type jars. Anyone know of a good source to get them?

I've used freecycle.org to get lots of free canning jars. Maybe you would have luck there, too...

The 1/2 gal. ones are pretty rare these days. Mostly found in antique and collectibles shops. Best source of finding any large quantity of those may be estate auctions, ebay, and, sometimes, if you're lucky...yard sales. I have a few of the blue ones that my mother gave me, along with the galvanized lids. I use them to store dry goods, spaghetti and such.

Plan to can with them?

I recently found some at an auction. I too use them to store dry goods such as rice and pastas. They look pretty sitting on the shelves in the pantry! Remind me of my Grandma!

I have seen 2 qt. jars at the grocery store and the local store in my town.
