Well....now that the drama is over things can get back to normal. I'll spare ya'll the details but Christmas was stressful as usual.
Kids got way too much, Maddie could start her own dang boutique with all the clothes she got. I got 3 sweaters....2 of which will go back to the store, people will just not listen when I say "if you want me to have clothes then give me money so I can go try stuff on"
I got gift cards to Barnes and Nobles, TSC, Michaels (craft store), and Target. Hubby snuck out to TSC and got me a really nice lined Carhart jacket

I got some cash too which will pay for my bees in april.
My son got a microscope!!! A really good one too! I can do my own fecals!!! So excited about that one!
My daughter got like 12 barbie dolls....nine of them are still in the boxes in the top of her closet....she hasn't even missed them.
We did a non electric xmas again. No toys or anything involving electricity for the kids.....puzzles, art supplies, dominoes, squinkies for Maddie and littlest pet shop and zoobles for tyler. He also got 3 nerf guns....a pistol, double barrel shotgun, and crossbow. He's gonna be set come hunting season next year....he's had lots of practice with his toy guns the last 2 days. Papa gave us a .22 that we will use to squirrel hunt with the kids.
My granny got us 2 cases of paper towels...

I only use paper towels during hunting season when we process meat to absorb excess moisture prior to vacuum sealing. The rest of the year I use bar towels and homemade napkins.
My MIL left this morning after we had to go get her youngest son from the middle son's apartment. He got wind that middle son was getting ready to skip town (he has an impending court date and will probably do jail time for this one). He has no job and couldn't take over the rent if he had to and has no license (he lost it....don't get me started) so hubby went and got him yesterday and brought him to our house and he went home with MIL.

He turned 22 yesterday. I married the good son. MIL will not hesitate to call him that either. She calls them "the good son", "the bad son" and the "questionable son".
My turkey turned out wonderfully....thank you Food Network.
So how was everybody's holiday?
