Low carb eaters.....

I'm gonna get Nourishing Traditions from the library.

Now, I'm excited. :celebrate

yes don't forget soups

great trick to get weight off faster also.

I ate alot of good soups going down the scale. plus soups never weighed me down in the gut. I like that...a meal that doesn't give me that "kill me now" feeling.

And with the colder weather--time for good homemade soups again! :)

Soups are good. Lots of info on the benefits of bone broth in Nourishing Traditions.

My lunch today was cold baked chicken breast shredded, cucumber slices, olive and a bunch of ginger carrots (another Nourishing Traditions recipe).

I am now snacking on some Daisy cottage cheese.

Yea for you!!! Get ready for a big eye opener! :thumbsup

Wife and Free also told me about Eat Fat Loose Fat so I got that one too. See if they have it.

I don't do diets. Of course I have also been pretty skinny most of my life. But I eat healthy for me. It's a life style thing. I found out that I have hyperglycemia and came across an old book from the 60s on the subject. I don't follow it exactly, but I stay away from processed sugars and carbohydrates. I allow myself exceptions, but have found that if I overdo it, I just don't feel as well.
For a few years I had gained some weight. As soon as I went back to sticking to my healthier eating habit, the pounds dropped, without me really trying.
I really just stay away from white flour, avoid white rice or just take smaller portions. And same goes for white sugar. I actually avoid most sweeteners, I use it, but not that much. I eat as much as I want as far as real whole grain, fresh vegetables and fruit, cheeses and other dairy products. I eat the fat on meat, in butter and get whole milk.
When I occasionally binge on donuts or sourdough bread, i can feel it. I get tired and moody. and don't feel like doing anything.
This works for me.
It may not work for you. I think everyone needs to keep experimenting until they find someting that works for them and then stick with it for the rest of their lives. Each of us is different, different heritages, and we need to eat right for our individual history and heritage.

Oh, and we are not all supposed to look the same either!!!!

Ain't that the truth! Turn off the tv and put down the magazines, where all the women are airbrushed and surgeried to all look the same. Booooor-ring!

I wish I could be airbrushed some days---

Is there a free site where I can enter recipe ingredients and get a nutritional breakdown? I can't figure out how to input dinner into FitDay without it.
