I'd like to try elk.

I've heard that you can use gun powder to season meat when you don't have salt - do you think that's true?

if it is ... better not break fart.
I think it would be safe to sprinkle dirt on your meat.

probably taste good too!!

Is moose fatty like bear?

I've had elk, they sell it in snausage form here at the meat market. It is very tasty.

Great job MrBubble. ;)

No, moose is lean and used to be my favourite meat until I tried our pasture raised lamb. I prefer it to bear, which would be comparable to pork in fat content, but def not in taste. Although it has been way too many years since I had either. :hit

No, it tastes more like beef. I just meant it used to be my favourite until I tried lamb. They taste nothing alike. ( I had never had lamb before we processed our own.) and when I say it tastes like beef, beef pales in comparison.

I've never had moose. I've had elk. Is it similar?
