The snipping things? You sure those aren't just skin tags? I snipped off a couple, man, those things sure bleed.

Ya, on the worst spot that I had, the sore was about the size of a pencil lead, maybe a bit bigger. At it's worse while applying baking soda, it got to about the size of a dime or so. Sure freaked out my husband! I haven't had any indication that there's anything growing back as yet. It's only been healed up for maybe 4 months or so, but I keep checking and have DH put an eyeball on my back every so often.
He's had skin cancer a few times, too. He said the next time he's using baking soda instead of getting them cut out.

Interesting about the 5% iodine. Seems like I recently read that it was good for something else, but since I didn't write it down (!!), now I can't remember!

I too, am freckled and got crispy as a kid. The vit D thing didn't work to keep me from getting burned. My mother lined us up every morning with a spoon and a bottle of cod liver oil. Ick. I get plenty of D now, but I am a little wiser in covering up and wearing a big granny hat.

Google Jerry Brunetti, and watch his food video where he talks about the inoculated colostrum for Lymphoma.

One of the best things you can do to avoid cancer is to not promote it's growth. Most cancers are 1) Diet Related and 2) Thrive on sugars and insulin (actually insulin growth factors).

In our neck of the woods, us'n in the know take our skin cancers to an old man in the woods. Turn down a dirt road and there is his house. Shhh.....don't want the Doctor Gestapo to know where he is. He applies black salve to the spot. It begins to draw and itch and annoy. No, don't lift the bandaid for 24 hours. Then take it off along with the black salve and put antibiotic ointment on it and cover with a bandaid. The cancer will be whitish in color. It will finally fall out, roots and all. Keep ointment on spot and bandaid until healed. Cost? Donate $20 bucks, since he obviously can't charge anything, that would be practicing "medicine".

:sick No backwoods salve for me, thanks! I'll take a sterilized instrument to a small thing and take anything very large to the real doc. If I had something the size of a pencil eraser I'd get it analized at the doctors, Marianne. Mine are much smaller, more the size of a tiny pimple, but I don't think they are skin tags, perhaps some are. I do have a lot of skin tags as well. I've also examined those photos of melanomas many many times, they have irregular borders and don't have the same look at all as a basal cell, I've never had a basal cell as large as you describe, they seem to grow more under the skin and not sticking out on top if that makes sense.

I always crack up over the advise to "examine your moles". While this is an excellent idea, it would have to quit my job in order to examine them all and look for changes. I have about 25 on my right hand and forearm alone!

Most moles are fine WZ. My mom (who had the melanoma) said that the one she had "really looked like something different". My husband has many many moles. They like to watch mine because of the risk factors, I'm one of those folks who has every risk factor including the melanoma in the immediate family. The others are things like your coloring, whether you have had multiple sunburns before age 18, what part of the world you live in and whether you are freckled or have moles.
I've spent a lot of time in dermatology offices so I've read a lot of pamphlets!

Yeh. The moles look VERY different. After Dar's cancer got bad and they started popping up all over, Corwyn said you can't miss the difference.

A while back I watched a youtube video about a guy that used really concentrated marijuana oil to cure cancer on his nose. He could buy it legally in CA. Wish I could put my finger on it right now...showed the progress w/ pics every few days.

In the book, Fire Your Doctor, the author advocates using extremely high doses of Vit C to kill cancer, even an IV of it. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. All I know is that I'd have the goose poops if I took that much Vit C.

SD, mine was the size of a pencil lead, not the eraser. Well, the open spot was, but underneath I could tell it was larger...:/ It was on my upper back, caused from too much sun exposure, no mole involved.

I've read some pretty amazing accounts from people in forums who have used black salve. It's kinda pricey, if I remember. I decided to try the baking soda after I read some posts about it and I had it on hand.
