Be honest... did you have to look up the correct spelling? I'll admit it, I did. I remember it being called a perk"u"lator.

I also recall watching the glass top in amazement. My grandmother seen me and fixed me my very first of coffee when it was done.

If only my short term memory could be as good as my long term memory.

No. Actually know the word. Ive used it since little. It was never called a coffee pot.

I've also used parthenogenesis in conversations recently. That word gets blank looks except for some poultry people who know about the few birds who've done it like the turkeys. Or those who like lizards and such

My plastic straws are wrapped in paper. Also have steel straws for emergencies in my purse.

We keep paper plates, straws, napkins, and plastic cutlery in truck.

Only thing I can think of is truck driver popped the clutch and bounced the trailer. That end van might have had a loose rear binder and bounced just right to catch the canopy as the truck pulled out.

I can't believe I typed that in one sentence.
