Memes That Make You Giggle

Well 2 is more than 1

true. but i could also argue it on the basis of various physical theories that include clouds, energy waves, uncertainty and whatever quantum BS you'd like to try to figure out let alone the various string theories and dark matter angles...

yet that would all be useless quibbling instead of saying i was wrong. :)

Hubby thought it said galaxy and got really confused

Judging by the comments where I stole it, it did that to a lot of people.

It's like asking "How many animals did Moses take on the ark?"

That one gets almost everyone

I haven't posted any actual lateral puzzles in here. Hubby hates them. You have to think too much about them he says. I only do OK with them. When I worked at the bookstore, the group of us did one a day and not everyone could get them.

Here's an easy one

A man who lives in a 30-story building decides to jump out of his window. He survives the fall with no injuries. How did that happen?

He was on the first floor.

Sometimes those are interesting. Sometimes they're just irritating because they assume knowledge not presented. Other times they twist the words so multiple interpretations are possible and declare one correct.

A little girl's mother works, and she usually goes to a neighbor's house after school. She always calls her mother when she gets there. One day the neighbor was sick so she had to go to her grandmother's house. She wasn't able to call her mother. Why?

Now, for context, I first heard this one in the 80's.

Grandmother didn't have a phone

I only ever was just OK at them. Some stumped me. Others go off on unrelated tangents for their answers. Those I don't consider puzzles.
