Memes That Make You Giggle

Is it the "want," or the "squish" that is morning dependent?

there is no want beyond the animal that is annoyed by a noise and wants to make it stop and squish is the most direct and non-thinking way for that to happen...

in the past when Mom had to get me up to go to school (after she'd gotten my siblings up) she would often find me burrowed under a pile of blankets, pillows, or anything else i could pile on to get the noise to go away. she'd pull it all off me and throw it on the floor so i'd have to get up and that would be often enough to get me to the bathroom and then on the way to school eventually.

Just fyi, I once broke a friend's brain by asking him, "If a man goes back in time and becomes his own father, where did the male genes come from?"

having read a lot of science fiction through the years i've generally avoided time travel into the past kinds of stories because they aren't really what i consider science enough, to me they are fantasy or mistaken possibilities. if someone thinks they've travelled into the past to me i'd say it is much more likely they've just gone forwards into a different universe than the one they think... the person you think is the father isn't or something...

Flight of the Horse by Larry Niven is an interesting time travel. The time machine in it wobbles into other dimensions instead of being linear. Out of print last I checked. My copy is old
