A long time ago I met someone online (only ) full of wisdom .
So many years have passed and I've never forgotten them or their lovely wife...This sort of reminds me of an online card they sent me.

When I was a kid, mom's homemade pizza with her own sauce. With my kids it was usually ham sandwiches. Christmas breakfast was a bread egg sausage casserole thing. Something that could be made the day before and set to bake while presents were opened.

For several years, when all of DH's family could get together, we focused on GUMBO. So yum!

Watched a glorious sermon, some readings and choir choruses singing carols this morning, as I waited for sunrise. It was beautiful!

Sure hoping for a good year of gardens and "putting up and putting by" ..... getting ourselves all in a better place for surviving the coming "storms" that I think we are going to be facing in this country.
