I have seen a mouse running for cover when I have come out a little late to close the coop door. The little bugger ran behind the coop.

This morning when I let the girls out there is a nice clean hole coming up from the back of the coop in thru the thick shavings! What can I do to get rid of it?

Make sure the hens have access to the entire floor of the coop. They will eat those mice if they have good access to them. Yummy!

I catch mice in snap traps and then toss the little carcasses to the chickens. They go nuts chasing each other around trying to steal the mouse. The first time I tossed one in to the pen I strongly suspected they had nailed a few live ones before. They were way too professional! Experienced!
Yay, free protein!
