yeah, I've had the rangers before, but it was my first time raising the meat birds. I never thought about keeping them long enough to reproduce. Myabe I will order some next spring and keep a few for eggs to incubate. How well do they lay?

we've got a pretty big crew out there so i'll separate them this spring to be sure.... but definitely they are part of the 'almost every day' crowd.

the ladies are really nicely formed chickens. the males, of course, look a little weird and have the superthick legs... but these little hens truly past the muster.
