What??? I got it wrong. I will definitely erase it out of your 1,000,000 Uses for Castor Oil!

WyoDreamer, please forgive me. Bee has drilled it into my poor head that CO can be used for anything. ;)

No, it's actually quite good for dry, itchy winter skin and I use it on my back most of the winter each winter....helps with my back pain too, so it's a win/win.

But, it's not everyone's cup of tea for large areas of skin, as it tends to be quite viscous and can make one's clothing quite oily. The Dr. Teal's is a lovely smelling, very gentle lotion that actually moisturizes, unlike most lotions on the market.

I like my skin dry, excpecially my hands. Lotion gives me the hebegeebees. But in the winter when my hands get so dry the skin is cracking, I soak them in epsom salt, it really does help them heal and it's not nasty like lotion is.

Mom swears by the body butter I made her. It's just oils though, so not everyone's cup of tea. Cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, and avacodo oil. It might have beeswax as well. All good things for the skin.

I just recently found a lotion recipe and found the required items this last weekend. Going to try it out. I prefer lotion to oil myself. Easier to do different herbal extracts with it as well.

You may want to take some anti-inflammatory herbs, seasonings...turmeric, oregano oil, comes to mind. It sounds like you may have something that could benefit from some internal help, as well as external.

It started on the lower, inside portion of my both my arms just below the elbow area. It has spread to just above the elbow and almost to the wrist. I have a spot on my chest right about neckline of a shirt area.
I will get a really intense itching in a specific spot - it will feel like a spider bite, then it will welt up and turn red.

First, I washed the rash area with Hydrogen peroxide, then washed with rubbing alcohol twice a day for 4 days - no change, it spread.
I then tried Hydro-cortisone - that I was given for the rash I had when I had my cancer surgeries. Twice a day for 4 days and no change.

I am now on anti-biotics. I had a wisdom tooth pulled and now have a fever, so got the prescription from the dentist. If the rash is not showing any signs of getting better by Monday, I will get another doctor appointment and make it the main issue so she looks at it.
