You all just scrape it off right? All of my jars have a few spots of white mold. I scraped it off and already ate some, but for some reason need to be assured that I'm not going to keel over today.
I scrape and eat....the good stuff underneath. If it smells fine beneath the mold, it is! If you read old, old instructions for things like crocks of fermented pickles or sauerkraut, you will find instructions for regular checking and scraping of mold off the top.
It takes a little retraining of one's thinking....you'll be scraping and spooning without a bit of hesitation before you know it!
