I'm moving which is altogether a good thing, but some sucky parts to it.

I was laid off in October, and I moved in with my SO (December) so I can rent out my house.

But... that means I had to sell all my critters except the rabbits. I can bring 4 with me. They will go from outdoor free-range to semi-outdoor (storage shed) caged. It's less than ideal, but their current caretaker is NOT giving them proper food or ANY water.

So I'll sit down and shut up for a while. I'm just proud of my SO, who has taken to my son's cloth diapers like a champ. I am so thankful I switched to cloth dipes some time ago. There is no way I could afford "sposies" now.

Hope it all works out for you.

At least you are able to rent your home and keep it. So many are losing it all out there. Glad it fell into line for you.

Your rabbits will be fine in their new home.

Like ETR said, it is frustrating to hear how so many are forced into changing lives right now because of layoffs etc

I am undergoing major life changes right now, too. Losing my animals, too. So it helped me tremendously to make a gratitude list. I wanted to look at all the things I still have to be thankful for. It helps ease the sting of loss just a bit.

Peace to you.

Its great that you are able to keep some of your animals.

Moving stinks...

Yay for your SO! So many men turn their noses up at diaper duty.
My DH took to it like a duck to water as well. :clap

I am sorry to hear about your challenges....it sounds like you are handling it well, renting out your house is a great idea. Animals can be replaced, as much as it sucks to have to part with them.

I hope the new year brings some positive things your way! :hugs

I agree moving is a disruptive pain, but it's GREAT that you have a place to go!

IMO, cloth diapers are better for little tushies, anyway. You have to be more vigilant to keep them changed, and that promotes more together time as you're changing the diaper (at least it did for DD and me :) )

Here's wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a truly happy New Year. Hang in there :hugs
