music downloads

My dd will be getting a ipod for christmas. Where is a good place to download music that is secure? we don't mind paying for it, just want it to be safe....but free is always good too!!!!

iTunes usually. I would be afraid of getting it anywhere else because of viruses, trojans, etc.

Amazon is cheaper. And they don't have the annoying DRM stuff on it. I do use both, but find myself using Amazon more often these days.

Yes.

Now even though I am buying the songs from Amazon, I still use itunes to play them

You need itunes regardless to load your ipod.
