At my house, hubby controls the remote. If I've seen it once, I've seen it 50 times - Jeremiah Johnson, The Green Mile, The Natural, Rainman (but they are all good movies)

I HATED The Green Mile! I cried and it depressed me for days! However i think the worst movie i ever saw was called AI. About a little robot boy named David who was just looking for his mother and dies never finding her. Of course I was a little emotional already when I watched it since my first child, David, was just born. However my dh controls the remote also so we usually end up watching The Man From Snowy River or Quigley Down Under.
