I just found out that YES I do have a employer funded retirement acct. NO I cannot make any changes to it in either direction. But, I did lower my other retirement to ten dollars a month. That is for me, when I go home I will take care of hubbys. :/

I quit contributing to mine and put more money on my house payment. I refinanced it from 30 years to 15 years with the same payment. Then, I started to pay more each month because even at 5.25% interest, it was more than I was getting from my 403B (like a 401K).

Don't know if it was the right decision, but my house will be paid off the very month I retire in 5.5 years.

The 403B just sits there and I am not contributing, but it could make money later, yeah, right..... lol, it has gone down in value but since I cannot take it out, it will have to just stay put.

Do any of you remember Ralston? A hot cereal back in the day that I dearly hated! Now, Cocoa Wheats I could get my mind around...it was rather tastey with a dollop of canned milk. :p
