Me and my dad went to a old place like what u see on american pickers, we found an old barrel and were wondering if the is any way we could clean it out to put vinegar in it.Can u tell us of some ways to clean it out?

If it is a wooden barrel........I can't think of anything except maybe burning it out with hot coals. I'd try to find out just what was in it before I did anything related to food with it. Might be better off just getting a new one...........

thats the thing we dont know what was in it it just smells old...

I'd just use it for decoration or store Christmas decorations in it then. No sense taking a chance with your life over a 10 dollar barrel.
