So we were given a venison shoulder and I have heard several things about cooking it so I soaked it in buttermilk, washed it, then added onions, salt, pepper, and mushroom and am slowly roasting it in the oven. IT SMELLS WONDERFUL! I just can't wait to see how it tastes!

I always do roasts in the crock pot or in a pot on te stove--juicier that way. We haven't got a deer yet this season, but we are turning most of it into ground meat. Hope you enjoyed your roast!!

I've got one thawing in the fridge right now. Gonna put it in the crock pot tomorrow morning with some carrots, red potatoes and onions. Yum!
