Puppy still whining at night but it's getting better. I guess since I'm doing all the work right now, he's bonding with me. Trainer said she'll correct that later.
In other news ...
Hubby being a jerk again. I wonder if it's the heat or concern about his dad or ???
It is just way too hot to do anything. We managed to move two chicken coops from the muck and mud and are now on higher ground BUT they are on a slope so I'm not sure how they'll do with a lot of snow this winter. Gonna have to rethink this. Meanwhile, not getting diddly squat done.
BUT when I was watering the garden and chickens and goats yesterday, noticed two of our blueberry plants had ripe blueberries on them! Yum! Picked just enough for my Kid and I to share for a dinner-snack. Sweet and a bit tart. Still, nothing is better than something you grow yourself.
With the 10 days of constant rain and now 2-3 days of hot hot hot hot hot days, my garden is finally growing. Too late (probably) to harvest corn, winter squash or melosn this year but might get tomatoes (one is turning red), summer squash, beans, bush cucumbers and now blueberries. HOPE HOPE HOPE.
More bantams are laying ... get 4 mini eggs (3 blue, 1 green) a day. One of our February-hatched chicks laid her first egg yesterday. It was blue! Woohoo!
Once my standard-sized girls all start laying, we'll sell all of them, and keep the bantam eggs for ourselves. Hope it will start paying for their feed again.
