If you need a cheeeeep mitre box, they are easy to make or the plastic ones cost under $10- you don't even need any special saw. You just take a 2x4 piece about a foot or so long, nail some pieces of wood to the edged to form an open ended trough. Then measure and saw down the cut straight across the middle and measure out 45 degree cuts across it in both directions. I have a cheapie one I made years ago and I still haul it out to use- it's easy and fits the saws I use most often. Takes all of 15 minutes to make.

Oooo! thanks! I will tell DH about the cheapie Miter box...honestly, I am not even sure what one is. :hu ;) I am sure I would if I saw one.

And I love the idea of a rustic look. I just have to see what works with the pictures I guess. My main concern is I want to preserve them. They have been rolled up in a corner for so long that I am afraid they won't even sit in a frame any more. So, they need to get in something fast! :)
