One of the most frequently posted problems in this section of the forum is around the forum user Avatar. Members have a hard time with the image being too big and finding ways to resize it. Many just give up :(

Well, we've added an automatic image resizing feature to the avatar upload process. We still HIGHLY suggest that you crop and resize your image before uploading it, but in the event that your avatar is too big, our system will now try to resize it instead of just rejecting it.

:ya

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. Here's how:

Click on the "Profile" link at the top of the page in the main menu.
On the left menu in your profile click "Personality"
The first option is your avatar. Here's where you can upload your image that represents you!

Tech details:
The default behavior was to reject any uploaded avatar image whose dimensions exceed those set in the options. Now the system will attempt to automatically resize those images to the maximum allowed dimensions, maintaining their aspect ratio. If the file size is larger than allowed by the options, the upload will still be rejected.

pioneergirl, try CTRL-F5 to force refresh your browser, or delete your cache files.

SKR8PN - is it an animated file? You're the first to have a problem.
