Just wanted to say "HI". My husband and I are doing our best to become self-sufficent. We have a huge garden, a wind-turbine (homebuilt), 4 solar panels, solar water heater (homebuilt) and lots of ambition. We just got chickens this summer. Should have eggs by February LOL. Its taken us 30 yrs to get to this point and we keep plugging along a little at a time. Nice to meet you all and I look forward to the reading here.
