newbie from Oregon

Hey! I'm in Oregon, too! I'm a little south of Portland, and I love it here.

I'm anxious about soap-making, too, though I really want to learn. I have been reading the soap-making thread, and have picked up on a lot of great pointers. I will be waiting until I pick up all the bits and pieces before I try anything, though. (Dedicated pots, pans, etc. I mean.) I hadn't even thought of going to Goodwill for things like that, I don't know why it didn't occur to me.

I actually found a lot of it at Value Village as well. I just kept looking for things marked stainless to make sure nothing was made of aluminum. I think I got all my "stuff" for under 20 dollars that way.
