NH Homesteader's journal

Can't wait to hear how it goes ---- and maybe see some pics!

Hoping an LGD (or two) is in your future! Scary about the coyotes and the cat print.

Ugh, banks.. Hate it when they make mistakes and get us all hopeful for nothing!

Let us know how the micro greens growing goes and pics, please :)

My Nigerian has the beginnings of an udder. Freaking out a little, lol!

Woohoo! You have a date range for kidding, right? As opposed to an actual breeding date? I'm still looking at mine and thinking I only have a couple due....still tempted to turn out a buck...but not really excited about late summer babies.

For her yes, she's a third freshener who has dam raised triplets plus allowed other does' kids to nurse.... so if she goes first that'll be good for me! Before my 3 wild FF's!

I have a couple goats outside right now. They're adventurous lol!

She's definitely a keeper! It' nice to have a doe that will be generous with other kids. I've only had one like that and she was a pygmy - long gone from this life, but she was a sweetie.

Lol no she's for sale. She also has horrid parasite resistance, isn't a very good producer and her hooves could be trimmed about every other week. But, she's a good mother and well behaved on the milk stand, so she'll make someone happy who is less particular about the other things!

Lol yup! She'll be 4 this spring so it's good to sell her now and not wait. Then I'll just be left with the 4 minis and I've got my hands full with them! I love them, but they're not the easiest goats to wrangle. Darn alpine genes (not really complaining, I love them!)

Clifford is wound up today. He's running and bucking and bouncing off the walls. It's hilarious, and the girls are like.... Uh... Dude?
