180 days later, the North Carolina house has a new owner. Lord told me not to be greedy, I wasn't greedy. Agreement was made on exactly the lowest price we would accept. Thank You Lord
I still own one more house that I bought for dirt cheap during the crash, I paid cash, so no mortgage. My new daughter in law and son are currently living in it rent free, we just charge them for taxes and insurance, they pay all utilities.
When they move out, I'll most likely sell it also. Unless one of my other adult kids wants to move it to for a while. The good thing about the rent free house is all three of my adult childern who lived in the house, all got married while living there and they all bought houses of their own. It's a great way to spread the love and for them to save money and get a good start.
I'm not looking to rent it to strangers, for obvious reasons.
I guess I'm getting old... I'm not all that interested in working on houses anymore.
