Ohio folks - are you ready for the big storm?

what do you think - is the new being over zealous or is this The Big One? gosh they have had the high wind warnings for TOMORROW on since yesterday.

we are getting everyone strapped down and making sure we have water etc in case we loose electric...

everyone else ready?

Storm? Local forecast doesn't sound that bad. Maybe I'll check Weather.com for my zip code.

I'm not ready for a loss of electricity. No way.

If this is what hit us yesterday coming your way? It was cold and extremely windy, carried anything not nailed down away!! We had a lot of power outages due to trees coming down in the wind. I imagine you guys are expecting some serious snow??

Thanks for the heads up. We are supposed to be getting it too this afternoon. I hadn't checked the weather forecast, I was just enjoying today, but I guess i need toget my butt in motion to make sure the sheep are in their new house by tonight.

yep thats whats on the way! yikes!

i think its deceptive b/c its supposed to be warmer - the wind is blowing it in - then its going to be superduper cold. yikes!

my little turkeys are blowing around in the wind and i need to run them in....

we're still trying to find everything from last year's winter prep....where's my flashlight....candles?? buckets of water??? wait was that a chicken that flew by????

Huh? I heard there might be a little ice today, but I didn't think it was gonna be too bad. We'll see. I'm in Columbus, so we tend to get the mild side of everything. I'll just plan on staying home and avoiding the idiots who think they can drive like maniacs no matter the weather.
I'm not worried about losing electric - we never even lost during Ike - even though it was out everywhere around us. We were incredibly blessed.

DH has not said anything about the weather. I don't have any place I really have to be except church tomorrow night so I am good.
The bad thing about losing power here is no phone and internet!! The rest of it I can handle!

We are ready here in Mansfield Ohio! Chicken water warmer and heat lamp are in place, tractor has the blade and the loader on, freezers are full, pantry is overflowing full gas tanks are full and we have plenty of diesel on hand. Ski passes are paid for and our ski's have been tuned and waxed.

LET THE SNOWING BEGIN!!!

They are mostly calling for high winds tomorrow. I hope the winds knock down our one maple that got hung up 2 years ago. If it falls, I'll have a half cord of seasoned wood!
