We got some rain Sunday night, and a few drops today. As of right now the clouds are stacking up, but my guess is it will move off to the east leaving us here with little. A disappointment, but kinda the norm in Ardmore.

Well so far so good here. There were a couple of tornado's that went through Edmond and Northern OK City. One of them is believed to be an F-2 or F-3. This is NW of us. Lot's of straight-line winds in various places. This isn't too uncommon to have tornadoes in February. Just not expected, b/c most years we don't get them in Feb, they'll hit full force in May. Several houses hit in Edmond...very large houses....lot's of businesses hit ie chucky Cheese, Hobby Lobby etc. The kids weren't let out of their schools until after 4:45. Some of them not until 5:15. When I picked up my kids, they were letting them leave, but only if the parents checked them out.

It's raining here now. It's only supposed to be some heavy rain. We really need it.

lol I can relate to the dissapointment sometimes. Half the time we get all geared up for a bunch of storms/tornadoes, and then nuthin. lol But I know that the attitude towards being cautious changed after the May 3, 1999 tornado, and after the experience my friends and family had with that monster, I'm thankful for the extensive coverage.


Thanks Quail and PP! We're in the clear now. The rain hitting us now isn't even severe anymore.


Well now the the excitement is over lol My husband spent 12 hours sanding the texture off of one of our walls. We have had a heck of a time with this wall. Somehow the taping of the joints got messed up on one side of it, and I messed up my texturing job on the other side. There are two big sides separated by a door. I couldn't live with it so he sanded down for me. Now it's a fresh clean palet and hopefully we can get it right this time. All of the sanding got done in one day, b/c we were scheduled to get a new sectional today!! So glad we did it before hand. It was a horrible mess even with attaching the shop vac to the sander.

We needed the new couch bad. I won't go into the all of the gory details, but it was time for it to go. It's nice to have a new one, and hopefully we won't have to buy another one for a long long time. ....Though I'm not holding out for that one with all of these little ones running around ^_^

Oh no There is a very large tornado on the ground at Lone Grove Oklahoma heading towards Sulfur. It's night time. Those are so deadly. Pray for those people please.

Thanks for the checkup OM. Lone Grove got hit pretty hard, its about 8 miles west of here. We saw the tornado on the horizon in lightening flashes. The reports keep coming in of a lot of damge to LG, so everyone say a prayer those in need.

My thoughts are with all those people with that rough weather coming trough. I'm glad that you all are OK and hope it has passed you by now.

We are 5 weeks away from the official start of our Tornado season. Grumble.

Just read where tornados killed 8 overnight. I hate to hear that, but I'm glad it wasn't you.

We are expecting strong to severe storms today. I suppose it's payment for the 4 days of beautiful, warm weather we've had.

I hope you get your wall finished.
