Thanks for posting those sweet pics. And I think that cake is pretty nifty. Not surprised that birthday boy loved it.

So, when was the last time you got to actally eat a hot meal. ;)

Congratulations on the little cutie

haha the question really is, when is the last time that I got to eat a hot meal with both hands and not holding/nursing a baby? Answer: People do this? Gasp!!!

Thanks guys :weee :weee

Thank you Denise, for the compliment on the cake. I'm such a perfectionist (ugh) so I really wanted to do better, but it WAS my first time working with fondant.

So I believe that I mentioned at some point on here that I was torn between delivering vbac and csection with this baby. The doctor and I both came to the decision that with the circumstances I had during this pregnancy, that the c section would be the safer bet. I am sure glad thats what we did.

I was laying on the table after they had taken the baby out and after a while I looked at the clock thinking, now this didn't take this long when I delivered the twins. I wonder what's going on? About that time, the dr looks up and says you've got an adhesion on your old incision and you are bleeding a little bit. It's not bad, but obviously we can't close you up, until we get the bleeding to stop. About 10-15 more minutes went by and they got the bleeding stopped and sent me on my way to hold the baby :)

Here's the thing. This was one of the major risks of vbac. Had I delivered vbac, more than likely that adhesion would have been bleeding slowly, I wouldn't have known it, and I could have slowly bled to death...or bled out, and then would have had to go in and do emergency surgery to save my life.

Now this doesn't happen to everyone that vbacs, and that happening is actually very rare, but I had a feeling that vbac wasn't what I should do, and I am SO glad I listened!!!

What a beautiful baby. I just want to scoop him up and snuggle my nose next to his little neck and sniff him up. (After YOU change his diaper that is) LOL

Glad all went well and sure am glad you went with the CSection too. That could have been bad.

Oh - I think that cake looks really good. It sure looks like more than a first try.

Awwwww you are such a sweetie! I breastfed both of my babies for over a year so I know how it is, every spare moment when the kids are quiet is spent napping, eating or blessedly, in a hot shower!

Glad to see you back again sweetie!

The baby is beautiful and so is the cake. lol :D I have used fondant before on occasion. It is a whole new ball of wax, almost literally. You did a great job. :thumbsup

Your doctor seems to know what he/ she was doing. It's a good thing you decided on the
c section. A bit harder to recover from but I think you know that.

My favorite trick while b feeding. Put a pillow on your lap then the baby and still manage the keyboard to visit with friends. Maybe this only works for large .... Opps sorry TMI. :hide

Congrats!!!!!
