Oxen

Does anybody out there use a team or have ever used , trained oxen to be utilized on the farm ??

I've thought they would be neat but our property isn't in need of anything bigger than a rototiller. Marginal land best for grazing, not farming.

No but there’s a guy down the road from me that’s training oxen for this purpose… I don’t know if he’ll ever actually use them but it’s cool watching him train on the side of the road. I don’t have the land and can’t afford the hay to keep cattle for food, never mind for working. Would be cool though!

IF I ever went with working land with a team, it would be mules or horses. I love the thought but way past age to do. Takes some muscle. So, I tractor!
