has anyone here heard of or tried the , raisin/gin , mix for joint pain

no never heard of this one
but GIN?
yea, I would think it would help joint pain :P

I've heard of it but never tried it myself. They talk about it on "The People's Pharmacy" (radio show on local NPR)...you may want to Google their website.

I think a good shot of any liquor would help alot of problems LOL

joint pain is a true pain....when it is hard to get around etc your life can be affected so much....it stinks

My ole granny swears by the stuff, but being a true southern Baptist she will not step foot in the booze barn to buy it so she makes me do it. The only difference is she prefers rum :hide :sick

Let us know how it works please..

it may work but it could also present other problems in the long term

For joint pain, I swear by a small glass of Welch's grape juice with a teaspoon of pectin (Sure-Jell) in it. I have osteoarthritis in several joints, as well as hip joint damage from old radiation therapy. The juice and jell have helped tremendously.

I'm with CJ...

Gelatin is listed all over the web as a great reliever of joint pain.

Does Jello Give the Same Health Benefits as Plain Knox Gelatin?
The same health benefits seen in daily consumption of Knox Gelatin such as arthritis pain relief can be found in regular dessert Jello, but the downside is you would need to eat at least half a box each day to get the same medicinal benefits, and that's a lot of Jello. Most people prefer the powdered form of Knox Gelatin that can be easily mixed with water and other beverages.

I made some of those gin soaked raisins for my dad a few years ago. He loved them. At the whole jar in one sitting. Kind of an expensive snack;)

firem3- What is grannies recipe? I think I knew about knox, but forgot. My arthritis has been bothering me quite a bit this year.
