Pallet Garden Who has done it and what were the results

Has anyone done this and what were the results

You take a pallet and cover one side black garden screening material and fill with soil. Plant you seed or plants and then leave them on the ground or lean them up againist a fence or the house.

Haven't tried the pallet garden style that you are talking about but am curious about it myself. I think we'd have to go with crops/plants that like drier conditions as we have lots of wind here on the ridge and I'm afraid I would be able to supply the plants enough water to do well. :hu

I'll hunt up a link later today about using pallets for raised beds. That's what we are looking in to doing as we saw some made that way at a Go Green Festival last year in Thayer, MO and it's a perfect answer to the rocky soil here in the foothills of the Ozarks.
