90% of my pictures say they are too big to upload

If you are posting from an iPhone (maybe it is similar on other phones too?) when you click to attach files and then click Photo Library, look way down on the bottom right and you should see this unassuming little button:

Clicking on that will give you these options, which clicking on large or medium will shrink the file size enough so that the site will load it.
