This morning we had this pile of poop outside the cave door. I believe it coyote poop, but would like some expert opinion. Now that my hunting dog is a cave dweller, the coyotes are free to nose around outside. Still I don't like it when I don't know what's poking around the place at night. Can anyone identify this poop?

That would be hard to id with out more research . While it looks canine to narrow down from there you must pick it apart and see what it has been feeding on .

Sounds reasonable. Maybe the hunt dog needs to stay outside a couple nights. Stray bedding is warm for them.
