hey guys,
I'm not a DOWK fan (diary of a wimpy kid), but for some reason I'm hooked to the books :barnie

I was reading "old school" one day, and I saw this:

Is this true? Do I sound far fetched? I'm gonna look like a fool is this is a fake :oops:

Yep, you really can make a radio using a potato. It's a great project for kids' science fairs. There are a bunch of videos on YouTube and Google.

You can also use a potato for other simple electrical circuits like lighting a light bulb (lol, or removing a broken one!) :)

K. says certain kinds of cactus and tomatoes work better too. Lemons, citrus and tomatoes are higher in acid which makes better conductors.

The only real advantage I can see to using potatoes is they have a longer shelf life.
