Potatoes/ Seed potatoes....the same??

If you do potato peel eyes, you have to make the peels large enough to sustain the sprout until it roots. The potato feeds off of the peel.

So they'd just take a long, thick peel strip from each potato, and use the rest. More peel, less innards.

Just bought a 50 lb. bag of Yukon Golds from the feedstore. Whatever I don't plant i can eat.

Me too! I got a bag of just plain ol' red potaotes from the store tonight. I'm going to plant them in the "cage" like modern pioneer posted in his journal. I figure this year I will get my feet wet (more like get my hand dirty) with some store bought taters then next year maybe I will try some seed potatoes.
