So I have blueberry pie in the oven, blackberry pies waiting to go in, and I think I may mix some blueberries with blackberries for another pie...No elderberries picked yet. Wish I had raspberries to make it a triple berry pie....
Also have zucchini to shred up for bread!
Going to be a happy day.

and not near as hot in the house as yesterday! this a.m. was almost chilly! LOVE IT!

Must be summertime in Ohio- blueberries and zucchini here, too! I was very happy for the rain! My garden needed it - except E had gone out and watered the tomatoes

Girl, you are too funny! I am gonna tell you something that will make you laugh. When I was pregnant with my son I was home and watching The Price Is Right one morning. Toward the end of the show Bob Barker is all fired up cause all the games have been won and if the guy wins this last game they will have a perfect show. Well, he won the game and they had a perfect show and I had myself a good long cry about it. Pregnancy makes you weird and weepy. Then I cried some more cause I felt like such a dork for crying at The Price Is Right.
I'm glad that baby boy had a good day and dirt cake sounds yummy! Now I gotta go pick kuh-orn!

I've got apple pie in the oven now
DD and I were talking about calling our baked goods, "Mommy and Me Munchies" or something like that, because she's a big helper with the baking. She helped pick the berries, peeled the apples, has mixed pie crust, knows how to make pumpkin pie filling, and we're having a blast baking together! She's also looked at the recipes and made sure we had all the ingredients needed on hand and set out for use.
She has asked if she can roll out the dough for the next pie, too, so I think when we get to the pumpkin pies I'll let her try her hand at rolling the crust out.
Not sure if Mommy and Me Munchies will be what we go with, but I thought it was cute LOL
