I'm thinking we may get him a baby for xmas - don't laugh, I think boys playing with a baby doll is good practice for being a dad.
I think that is a good idea. Let him model after E it will be good for him and make him feel more included in the whole thing.

Kids are so funny! I love their questions. :D

Boys and dolls and girls and trucks. My son had a doll when he was young. Actually he had 2. My daughter had trucks and cars. So I don't really see the difference. No one seems to ever say anything about girls playing with boys toys. My son is now a great dad who cooks, cleans, baths their 3 kids, has always changed diapers. So I think boys and dolls is a great idea.

I would not wait if he shows an interest in "mothering" a doll, they can be picked up cheap at yard sales, etc and it may help him when you are changing and feeding he can be doing the same with his baby. Nothing wrong with boys and dolls ;)

was thinking on this. I actually have a doll here that's new and still in package that E and I were talking about giving to him now instead of waiting.

Just don't forget which is which. My mom got really confused between the baby and the doll she gave me so that I had a baby too (I didn't like dolls OR babies, so this was kinda fail). She still talks about me carrying the baby everywhere but she means the doll and it really WAS the baby. :lau

I'm doing good. No real pain anymore, but I do have some soreness still. Mostly just around my incision area. I have been trying to get in a nap a day. Didn't get one today, though.
